4th of July

On the fourth of July we went to the Louisville Ward Luncheon.  It was HOT and with a 3 year old and (almost) 1 year old, I didn’t really want to stay long BUT Ben ‘had’ to be there (bishopric- shmishopric) so we stayed and had a fun time.

That night we went and did fireworks on the tennis court at the Newson’s house.  The sparklers were fun but James was not a big fan of anything that made noise, so I took him inside for some.  But before  left I got to see Ben almost blow his parents up; he thought it would be a good idea to throw a firework in the air and have it explode above our heads BUT he didn’t take the small breeze into account- oops.

Almost blew up the parentals

Because James was not a fan of the fireworks we went home and laid on the sidewalk at the park across the street and could see the very tops of the fireworks. Elizabeth thought they were cool; but especially liked that she got to stay up SO late!
