March

I dropped a pint of homemade applesauce on my foot (Feb 26).  It was so bad that I thought it was broken.  The big toe joint and first three toes got really swollen and I got pretty bruised. But I over reacted and it ended up being fine.
2/29/16 - Playing with the dolls and stuffed animals. These two play so good together.

For our Relief Society Birthday Party (March 2) we had a Retro Party.  Everyone dressed up and I took a bundt cake. (Mom helped me make the cute apron and the bundt cake- she's awesome)

3/3/16- Look at those wide eyes!
On March 3, we went to the Denver Museum of Natural History with Erica, Alice, Evey and Luke.  It was fun to see them and to spend more time at the museum.  Elizabeth loves the museum and it was fun seeing her curiosity and wonder.  We spent a lot of time in the Kid Zone and she got to play in water, dig for dinosaur bones, play dress ups and with puppets. James just came along for the ride.

So excited because she found a dinosaur bone.
James was born with hair, or I should say a couple hairs. I finally convinced Ben to let me cut the couple long stray hairs. He still has a lot of hair and he is a cutie.

March 11, 2016- It was warm enough to go play outside, do an art project and play on our backyard toys. These two are adorable.

March 14 is National Pie Day (Scientific Pie 3.14) and so we had Homemade Pizza 'Pie' for dinner and some key lime pie.  It was so fun to make and it was delicious.

On St Patricks Day we had a green dinner. Elizabeth made a green centerpiece for our table (a car and pillow) and we had pesto pasta and green bread sticks for dinner.

Yes, just a week ago we were playing outside in the sun and on March 22 we got a ton of snow. Elizabeth and I went out and played in it (it went past her waiste) and it was a lot of fun.  I could have played longer but she couldn't move her legs (so deep and so heavy), so she was not having fun.

Huge Snowball!!
No, I did not drop it on her.

Putting two to sleep (3/23) sometimes takes some juggling but these two go to sleep really well... usually.
Elizabeth just really really wanted a picture of him on her lap (3/30).  This is what their lives will always be like; her wanting something and forcing him to do it, he resists until she has to just squeeze him into submission.

We decided to do family March Madness Brackets this year.  We each filled one out and hung them up and kept a tally of what was won.  Elizabeth picked almost every upset (and she got a lot the first round). Ben, of course, knows everything about the teams, so he picked great. But in the end, I was the lucky one who won (bragging rights) the Newson Family March Madness Brackets.
