A Crazy Colorado Spring

Colorado is known to have some quick changing and often sporadic weather, especially in the spring and fall, and this summer has been no exception.  It is also known to be one of the happiest and sunniest states however this spring has proven that statistic very wrong.

It started rain and then quickly turned to snow on Mother's Day; which came on so fast that it burst my parents pipes and flooded their basement.  It then was overcast and rained for weeks straight (threatening to flood) . Coloradians were wondering the existence of the sun.  It is now, finally, warm again with afternoon showers (more like the sky is pouring a bucket mixed with hail for half an hour). (We played in the rain on May 25- Memorial Day- it was cold!)

Because the weather has been so sporadic, I have not had a chance to plant our garden yet.  Elizabeth and I did spend one weekend planting our flower beds in the front yard- she is such a good helper.

5/25/15- She was so proud to have 10 WORMS in her hands!
