Thankful Turkey!

Growing up, every Thanksgiving, we would sit around and each name things we were thankful for as we filled up the feathers of a family drawn turkey.  It would often take a long time and the things we were thankful for ended up being the things we could see in the room.

This year I decided to make an October Thankful Turkey.  I made it and hung it up the 1st of October and each day we write some things we are thankful for.  Anyone who visits our house also get's to add to the turkey.  It is wonderful to see and constantly be reminded of what we are thankful for; and interesting to see the things that are accidentally on there multiple times.

Thanksgiving Morning- before taking it to Thanskgiving Dinner

Here is our final Thankful Turkey.  I am so grateful that we were able to do this this year and fill our holiday with thanks.  Every day I still think of things that I am thankful for and I am grateful that I have started living with more gratitude.
