Cheesecake!!!

I made my first cheesecake! We got pans for our wedding and with them in storage and my lack of cooking confidence I never made one. On Wednesday I was in a great mood so I decided to make one.


I mixed it all up and got it in the pan and put it in to cook. After 40 minutes the timer went off, I went to check it and turned off the timer; it was still undone in the center so I put it in for 10 more minutes. Then 10 more minutes. Then 10 more minutes. After about 40 minutes of extra time I rechecked the recipe to make sure everything was measured correctly and asked Ben. He walked in, looked at the cheese cake and then said “Well, you have to turn on the oven!”

 That’s right when I turned off the timer- I turned off the oven. Needless to say, I ended up cooking the cheese cake for 2 ½ hours. It still turned out good and was very creamy. I am proud to have added another dessert to my cooking repertoire.
