Mother's and Father's Day!

I had a great mother's day and was spoiled silly (new clothes, sleeping in, no poopy diapers, delicious food!) I am so grateful for the awesome women in my life and the inspiration that they are to me.  I am especially grateful that I have been trusted enough by God to raise and love one of his children.  I love Elizabeth; I love every moment, good and hard, that I get to have with her, I love when she discovers new things and watching her grow, I love her affection and baby kisses.  I am so grateful to be the Mother of such a wonderful girl!

The day after Mother's Day we went to the store and Elizabeth was given a free Mother's Day balloon which graced our house until after Father's Day!! She LOVED it!!

The day before Father's Day (June 14) we went to the Stones' House to celebrate my amazing Father! They had all the kids make hand prints out of cement for a walkway in Mom and Dad's garden.  Elizabeth did not like me pushing her hand into the cement and definitely did not like us washing it off with the hose.

Ben got a pickle ball set for Father's Day; so that morning we tried to go play but the courts were being used, so instead we went on a long walk in the beautiful morning! We had a delicious dinner at the Newson's  (steak- what else?) and got to spend time with Grandpa Newson.

Ben is a great father and I am so happy to have him in Elizabeth and my lives.  He is so patient and brings comfort and love into every aspect of his relationship with our little one.  I love him lots and I am pretty sure Elizabeth does too!!
