June Fun

 We had a lot of fun in June.  It is always so fun to spend time outside and be with family.

At the beginning of June Chick-fil-a had a Daddy Daughter Date Night. Elizabeth got all dressed up and got to go on a special date with Dad. She was so happy and so excited to go. 

 

 

 

 

And I got to stay home and play with this cutie!

Later in the month there was the annual City of Lafayette Fairie Festival.  Elizabeth got dressed up as a fairie and James dressed up like a dragon (mostly for pictures because it was hot) and we went with some friends (the Woodwards). The Fairie Festival is always a little strange with adults dressed up as different fantastical creatures; but the weird part is how into it some of them get.  There are dances, games, music, plays and all sorts of fun.  Elizabeth loved it!

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

June is the time for fun in the sun and lounging in the pool.  We set up our pool in the backyard and the kids had a lot of fun playing in it (after the loong hesitant wait to get in the cool water).  Elizabeth had swim lessons from one of the Young Women in our ward.  She is not very confident in the water but by the end of the summer she would put her face in.  We also had some friends (the Woodwards) whose apartment complex had a big pool, so we would go there and go swimming with them a bunch.
