On Saturday December 1, Ben and I woke up and decided to
walk down to Main Street for Breakfast.
On the way home we noticed some roads closed and a race being set up
(including a GIANT inflatable Santa- do you know how hard it is to refrain from
jumping into something inflatable that is that large?). We asked what was going on and learned that
they were setting up for the Ugly Sweater 5k.
Later that morning we got to sit at home and watch as fleets of people
ran past our house wearing ugly sweaters and Santa hats. I love that we live in a town that has these
runs and that we live in a PERFECT place (so that all the runs past our
house).
That afternoon we went to see Ben's childhood friend, Jake
Young, and his family (who are from SLC) at a 'park' in Boulder. We arrived at the location and found that it
was not a park at all but a hike UP to a park (not long only about a mile). Being 31 weeks and wearing slip on flats I
was not looking forward to this hike but I grunted and made it up the steep
slopes. I told Ben that if I went into
labor Jake was responsible and I would be very angry at him. Even though I was uncomfortable and could
barely breath, it was fun to see Jake and his family (Michelle and Dominique).
