Ben went to play basketball with the men in our ward. As he was leaving I shouted to him, "Don't get hurt!" Which turns out to be a bad omen...
After jumping up to rebound a ball Ben landed on an apponents foot and sprained his ankle. He is swollen, black and blue and in a lot of pain. We are waiting a day before we go to the doctor to get a prognosis- hopefully it is good.

I just read that out loud to Jesse. He said, and I quote, "She jinxed him!! When will people learn, Becky? When will people learn??"
This, on the heels of him chastising me earlier this week. When we first moved to Maryland, our car's transmission broke on the way to church. Our van's transmission broke on the way home from church this past winter. And on our way to church this sunday, we drove the same road that our first transmission died on. I said, out loud, "I'm happy as long as our car doesn't die on the side of this road." Oh, the evil eye Jesse gave me. He was not happy that I haven't learned my lesson yet. ;)
Anyway... best wishes to Ben. I hope he heals quickly, and feels better, with no intervention needed!
You know, I'm surprised there hasn't been a big lawsuit or something regarding church ball...
